2005 BOARD OF DIRECTORS

BEVERLY GLEN PARK HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

DR. ROBERT PARENTE, President                                                                   I and my wife Linda, have been homeowners, living in the Association, with our three daughters, since 1982. I have been a member of the Board for the past nine years. Currently I am serving as President of the Association. Our home on Angelo Drive was destroyed in the 1994 Northridge Earthquake but we rebuilt it. My experience in dealing with the City, geologists, insurance adjusters, and building contractors is an asset to the Board. I hold a Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering from MIT. I have been a member of the faculty at MIT and UCLA. I am retired and a consultant to the electric power industry.

PHILIP FASS, vice-President

My wife and I have lived in this community for in excess of 26 years. During that time, I have been a member of the Board of Directors for a total of eight years. I was privileged to serve as President of the Board for three, crucial, years following the Northridge earthquake. This year my fellow Board members elected me Vice President. I will to continue to serve the community. I am proud to be living in Beverly Glen Park and wish to see it continue to prosper. I believe that this can be accomplished by having a sound fiscal policy, listening to homeowner's requests and suggestions, and by applying the CC&Rs fairly and uniformly throughout.

JOSEPH D. SCHLEIMER, Treasurer

It was my pleasure to serve on the Board of Directors last year. I have served as chairperson of the Legal Committee and have worked closely with the Association's attorney. I am an attorney and have my own entertainment law firm but I also have extensive background in construction, construction litigation, environmental studies and city planning. My wife Robin and I bought our home in Beverly Glen Park in August, 2000. We have two teenage sons and we love living in this community. I believe I have contributed greatly to the Board this past year and will to continue to serve the community.

REVA TAVELMAN, member of the board

I proudly served on the Board of Directors last year and I have lived in Beverly Glen Park since 1970. I have chaired the Architecture/Landscape Committee as well as the Recreation Committee this past year and feel that I have been responsive and diligent about my duties. For those in the community who have wished to express their thoughts and ideas, I have been an open-minded listener who brings the simplicity of logic to the Board. I have been in Real Estate for the last 26 years as a realtor and know the importance of a strong homeowner's association. I will continue to contribute my time and efforts to this community as I believe it is a great place to live.

FERESHTEH ARIZ SEGGELKE, member of the board

My name is Fereshteh or Fay Ariz. I am a mother of two children (ages fifteen and four) and have been a resident of Beverly Glen Park for about eleven years, with three properties here and one in Glenridge. This makes me very interested and excited to become a Board member and see more improvements in our close community.

My goals for our small community are as follows:

A) Bringing our families closer either through our children, our senior parents, or our professions and expertise.

B) Creating more community activities and/or resources such as the gym, which we owe to Ms. Simin Tobian and which is enjoyed by many of us.

C) Bringing fresh ideas from new homeowners along with long-standing homeowners to the Board for improving all aspects of our small, beautiful community.

 D) Hopefully, bringing Beverly Glen Park and Glenridge closer    together for certain activities that could benefit us all, such as establishing carpools. I am currently carpooling with a Glenridge resident for my fifteen year-old daughter. Why not extend that to more families?

 E) Bringing non-Board members and current Board members closer together for suggestions and advice. I hear from many that they do not like to get involved because it is difficult to connect with the Board; they either feel unwelcome, cut short, or not respected. Let's work together so that everyone feels connected, heard, and ultimately involved in our small community with the little time that everyone has.
